About us

It's a family affair

The care and attention to detail of our turkeys is very thing when in comes to flavour.

At John Howe Turkeys, good or okay just won’t do, it’s only excellence that we look for in our turkeys and this is evident in the taste.

Established in 1976

John Howe Turkeys was established in 1976 with just 25 birds. Since then, it has become a real family affair, and with over forty years of production we continue to produce traditional free-range bronze and white turkeys for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

With all family members involved John Howe Turkeys has made many improvements and investments in modern facilities to ensure may more customers can enjoy our showstopper turkey…

Celebrating Our 50th Turkey Season

This year marks a very special celebration for us — our 50th Turkey Season! Mum and Dad started this whole venture back in 1976 with just 25 turkeys, never imagining it would grow into such an incredible legacy.

Today, all three of their children are proudly at the helm, with a gaggle of grandsons causing havoc across the farm (chips off the old block!). What began as a small family venture has become a true tradition, and we’re honoured to still be rearing our much-loved free-range bronze and white turkeys for festive tables across the country, five decades on.

Here’s to 50 years of family, farming, and fantastic turkeys — and to many more to come!

Pride on our welfare

We take pride in the welfare of our turkeys and love to get our younger farmers involved. Whether it be setting up pens for our turkey poults, cleaning, ensuring the turkeys have fresh water and food at all times, and letting them out daily to explore our farm, they love to help!

With all that, our ethos remains simple today, to produce the very best turkey possible.
